This Inham Nook development by Broxtowe Borough Council was part of a Homes England funded project (£945,000) which delivered 15 newbuild properties. Prior to the development, the site was a Broxtowe owned garage site and disused pub.
In total, the project delivered 15 affordable homes for social rent : 3 x 1-bedroom flats; 5 x 2-bedroom houses; 7 x 3-bedroom houses. The properties include the following features:

1. AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS

All properties are fitted with Photovoltaic panels, which provide lower cost energy bills for tenants. |

3. I-BOOST
An additional system called ‘I-Boost’ has been installed in the properties which redirects any unused energy generated by the PV panels, to the water cylinder in the property. Providing there is sufficient excess energy, this means that the water in the cylinder is heated for free as opposed to the excess energy returning to the grid.
